Movies and movie stars have an astounding effect on people and fashion. And maybe that is one reason costumes are a great inspiration to everyone including fashion designers. Here are some of my all time favorite movies and characters that inspired generations to come. Sabrina Sabrina is one of my favorite movies of all time and Audrey Hepburn's parisian style makeover is every girl's dream. She made the famous LBD (little black dress) ever so popular. Annie Hall Who says a tie, vest and trousers were menswear only. Diane Keaton looked as sexy as ever in her menswear inspired costumes. I always love Woody Allen's films, just something about all his characters, they seem very effortless and still quite sexy. Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the city She is daring, girly and has a shoe fetish. Carrie Bradshaw in 'Sex and the city' taught us to take some risks and be okay with some bad choices, in fashion and love. This was one of those shows i was not allowed to watch growing up but managed to anyways (sorry dad!). Atonement As moving as the movie was, i will never forget the moment i saw keira knightley in that green dress. It's a dress that has a life on it's own and i was so fortunate to see it displayed in the FIDM, Los Angeles Costume library. Some of the perks of living in hollywood :). Blair Waldorf in Gossip Girl She ruled the fashion and gossip from the Met steps of New York. She is the Queen B of style, elegance and femininity. Blair often combined my favorite designer Marc Jacobs clothes with bold and colorful accessories. Her signature style was the bold and bright satchels and some of the finest woolen jackets and capes.
